EasyRPG Player v0.6.1 for 3ds Released

EasyRPG Player v0.6.1 for 3ds Released

The EasyRPG Team have released a new version of their RPG Maker 2000 / 2003 interpreter for your homebrew enabled Nintendo 2DS/3DS portable video gaming console. The EasyRPG Player will allow you to replay all of your favorite indie scene RPG games on your console, which could possibly lay waste to thousands of hours of your lifespan.

As with all of their releases the change log is one gigantic blog post detailing each one in great depth. So if you're interested in "What's New" then just head on over to the post to read all about it.

EasyRPG Player is a homebrew program that allows you to play games created with RPG Maker 2000 and 2003. It aims to be a free (as in freedom) cross-platform RPG Maker 2000/2003 interpreter. The main goal is to play all games created with them as the original game interpreter (RPG_RT) does.

The same rules as for the Wii version apply: Place the game (the folder with the RPG_RT.ldb) directly in the 3dsx folder to launch the game standalone otherwise place the games in subdirectories to use a game browser.

The CIA searches for games in the folder sdcard:/3ds/easyrpg-player.

The RTP (RPG Maker 2000/2003 Runtime Package) should be placed in /data/rtp/2000 and /data/rtp/2003
