Nintendo 3DS Firmware 11.11.0-43E Released

Nintendo has rolled out a new firmware for their line of Nintendo 2DS / 3DS portable video gaming consoles. This European only update addresses the new Second European Payment Services Directive PSD2, which is set to be implemented on September 14th, 2019.

The new law requires that online purchases over $30 EUR to be handled using Two-Factor authentication, therefore the ability to buy E-Shop purchases using a credit card on your European 2DS or 3DS has been removed. You can still use a credit card to purchase games and software for your console using Nintendo's online website.
