ScummVM 2.1.2 Released

ScummVM 2.1.2

The ScummVM team thinks of us, poor confined people, and offers us an update of their software to version 2.1.2.

It is a new stable base version of its point and click gaming platform which is now available, ScummVM is the virtual machine which allows you to play games using the SCUMM system.

Changelog ScummVM 2.1.2 "Fixing Powerful Windows" is here!
The ScummVM team is pleased to announce a new bugfix version for the 2.1 series - ScummVM 2.1.2, codenamed "Fixing Powerful Windows". You will notice that this time our download page is not really complete. Don't worry, we're not touching on the (pretty incredible) portability of ScummVM here.

ScummVM 2.1.2 is a maintenance release for Windows and Mac OS X, providing some bug fixes for these platforms. Like all other platforms are not affected, you don't have to worry about an apparently missing update at the moment.

While browsing the downloads page, you have probably noticed a new entry, especially when you are browsing our website with a PC with Ubuntu: ScummVM is now officially available on the Snap Store! Thanks to the continued support of Alan "popey" Pope and Alan Griffiths, the Snap Store version of ScummVM is now available just like our other versions of Linux. Compared to the traditional way of distributing software on Linux, we have much more freedom when it comes to new versions using the Snap Store. As soon as we release a new version of ScummVM, you will receive it as an automatic update.

The ScummVM Snap is available in two flavors. The "stable" channel contains our official versions, which makes it a great choice for most users. If you want to explore the latest and best features of our current development versions, just follow the "edge" channel and receive an updated build daily! We also have some cool additions to the Snap package in mind - but we'll come back to that later.

Take advantage and have fun!
