RiPPERD's PS4 tool RiPKiT / Modding / Cheat for backporter v1.7 Released

RiPPERD's PS4 tool RiPKiT / Modding / Cheat for backporter v1.7

RiPPERD has just updated version 1.6 of its PS4 RiPKiT / Modding / Cheat tool, which has long made it possible to simplify the creation of fakePKG and to facilitate the integration of updates into packages.

The main objective of this tool is to make RipKits, i.e. small game files with deleted elements, these are incomplete PKGs, generally language files, videos are removed ...

However, users who do not know how to modify games, add cheat / mod menus, files, this tool makes it easier to modder games.

It is possible to add menus, ammunition, cheat ... but now the v1.6 update allows you to backport games, you place your ELF and SFO files in the backport directory, you click on backport, and you can compile your PKG with the new files.

It remains complex to handle since it is necessary to recompile behind, the first packs or fix of games 6.72 backported on 5.05 starts to emerge, one can already quote Red Dead Redemption 2, Spider-Man or Resident Evil 2.

The first games that were dumped on 6.72 were v1.00, the first updates have just been released too, in short, we are only at the beginning of everything that the 6.72 kernel exploit will bring us, but if you we can we can only advise you to wait until the games are backported on 5.05 while waiting to stabilize the kernel panic on 6.72, even if these last 24 hours progress has a priori been successful on its launch. For others who have a firmware higher than 5.05, the question does not arise, you might as well take advantage of a hack, even unstable.

Note that RiPPERD has just announced that it wants to release a v1.7 which will improve these backport functions and update the python scripts, as well as review the procedure on eboot.bin.
