incognito v1.4 Released

incognito v1.4 Released for Switch

blawar has released a new version of incognito, which is a homebrew application for the Nintendo Switch that allows you to wipe the product information (prodinfo) from the console.

The prodinfo contains specific information related to your Switch console and can be used to identify you. It can be used by Nintendo or can be stolen using malicious homebrew and used to in ways by others that could get your console banned (malicious stuff usually comes in pirated games, so it's best to not pirate stuff).

The Atmosphere CFW includes build in protection for reading/writing to the prodinfo, but this protection can be easily bypassed. It would be best to wipe your prodinfo if you are going to be using your Nintendo Switch online (like with online enabled homebrew) and also use a DNS filtering service (while running an emuMMC NAND installation). This will protect you from Nintendo identifying your console and banning it for using homebrew.
