Nxdumptool v1.1.6 is available

The developer DarkMatterCore has just released version 1.1.6 of the fork of nxdumptool he proposes. As a reminder, nxdumptool is a fork of switch-game-card-dumper originally released by MCMrARM.

Formerly known as gcdumptool, the program allows you to dump your Nintendo Switch games, DLC and also updates. The utility also allows you to transfer, analyze and verify the integrity of games.

Changelog 1.1.6

* Added support for sequential dump: it is now possible to start an XCI / NSP dump procedure even if there is not enough space available on the SD card!
* No settings need to be changed to enable this feature - the application will automatically ask the user if he wants to use this mode if there is not enough space for the full dump.
* At least 1 GiB (2 ^ 30 bytes) of free space must be available to trigger this function.
* A file-based checkpoint system is used to keep track of already emptied pieces (at Hekate).
* The part (s) generated during each run must be transferred to a PC before continuing the process - except for the files.xci.seq / .nsp.seq used to keep track of the current status of the dump.
* PSs generated using this method will also include a.nsp.hdr file, which contains the PFS0 header data. The information of this header is completed after the writing of all the ANC, so they are saved in an additional file. This should be used as the first file (placed before .nsp.00) when merging all parts into a complete NSP.
* The following options are ignored when this function is triggered:
* Split output spill (FAT32 support) (XCI / NSP). Splitting of files will take place, regardless of the file system used by the SD card. In addition, the creation of a directory with the archive bit is not performed with NSP dumps.
* Create a directory with the set of archive bits (XCI only).
* Calculation of the CRC32 checksum (NSP only). The calculation of the CRC32 checksum is always available for XCI dumps.
* This function is not compatible with batch dump operations.
* General changes to batch dump operations:
* The entries in the summary list displayed in the batch dump menu can now be manually excluded from the dump operation before launching it.
* You can disable all entries, enable all entries, and / or manually select specific titles from the summary list, allowing the user to further customize the batch process.
* A new option has been added to keep track of previous dumps created successfully in batch mode: "Remember discarded titles".
* If this option is enabled, a 0 byte file will be created for each successful dump in a separate subdirectory.
* These files act like an overload: they will make jump to the application the titles that they represent in the later operations in batch mode even if the option "Ignore the already emptied titles" is deactivated.
* This is especially useful if someone wants to skip titles that have already been successfully downloaded in batch mode - even more so if their NSPs have already been moved or deleted from the SD card.
* To restore the original behavior, simply delete the contents of the subdirectory "BatchOverrides" in "DK".
* The free storage space is now correctly recalculated after each successful dump during a batch operation.
* Cleaning the user interface code:
* uiDrawString (), uiGetStrWidth (), and uiPrintOption () are now compatible with variable argument lists, removing the need to format a string beforehand and pass its variable to one of these functions.
* Preprocessor definitions are now used to specify RGB colors and to calculate the coordinates of vertical lines, which greatly simplifies calls to user interface functions.
* The menu code now correctly expects any input from the user before drawing changes on the screen.
* Other minor coordinate corrections.
* The application is now able to automatically read / save the dump settings from / to a configuration file.
* The "Split output dump" option is, once again, enabled by default. FAT32 is the recommended file system for SD cards Switch if anyone wants to use homebrew applications, so it makes sense to do so.
* Filenames for NACP icons in PSNs now correctly reflect the NCA ID of its respective content file if it has been modified.
* Fixed a bug that prevented the download of a specific file in the RomFS section from any update.
* Fixed a bug in the RomFS block collision control code that prevented NSP dumps from certain titles with a RomFS section in the control / manual NCAs that fell under an edge case that was not not managed properly. Thanks to Zet-sensei for reported this problem!
