Sony adds the brand PS6, PS7, PS8, PS9, and PS10

It may seem surprising but Sony had not previously filed the PS6 brand PS10. Sony Interactive Entertainment has just registered the PS6, PS7, PS8, PS9 and PS10 brands in Japan.

The trademarks filed by the Japanese giant Sony are transcriptions in katakana (Japanese alphabet used to write foreign words) names "PS Six" or "PS Seven".

It's even funny to see the chronology of trademark filings,

The history of "PS" brands in Japan:
"PS" (registered trademark in 2000, console released in 1994)
"PS2" (registered trademark in 1999, console released in 2000)
"PS3" (registered trademark in 2005, console released in 2006)
"PS4" (registered trademark in 2006, console released in 2013)
"PS5" (registered trademark in 2006, console released in 2020)

As we can see there is no real logic in this, the PS brand was even filed 6 years after the release of the first PlayStation. The only logic that can be followed is that Sony has released a PlayStation with 6 years of difference on the first 3 and since the PS4 we are on a rhythm of 7 years, from there to say that the PS6 will be released in 2027 there is only one step.
